Program Concepts
A community pool is intended to be a community asset. Open to All. Year-round.
Physical exercise and activity is the cornerstone of community health. Programs will be offered to meet various community needs.
Most importantly, a community pool would give residents and families a local, year-round place to exercise, swim and have fun.
Swimming Lessons & Water Safety Instruction
We live in lake country. We fish, hunt, sail, canoe, ski, hike and play in or near water -- or ice.
Water Safety and Instruction is vital to the safety of our children ... and anybody who spends time on or near the water.
A pool provides a place for necessary instruction and confidence-building.
Open Swims

A pool provides families and friends another great, and healthy, way to spend time together.
Physical Education
A pool is another great tool to educate students on safety, fitness and physical activity. Swimming is a life-long sport and it is extremely important that our youth learn the fun and importance of exercise and activity at a young age.
School Teams
Competitive programs are invaluable and teach the importance of goal-setting, character, discipline and teamwork.
A community pool would offer the opportunity for competitive swimming, water polo and diving to more residents of our community.
Age Group and Masters Club Teams
The benefits of competitive swimming could be made available to all age ranges and would help to bring other teams and competitions to the area.
Lap Swimming
Swimming is the 3rd most popular form of exercise in our country - behind walking and running.
A community pool would offer the needed flexible times to swim and exercise.
Group Fitness and Special Classes
A community pool would offer Water Aerobics, Scuba, Kayak and many other community activities.
